We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at Peter Lucas Project Management Inc. as an owner-representative project manager in a Potash mining environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute Underground Capital Projects including scope, schedule, budget, and risk.
- Manage projects within the site owner's Project Management Framework.
- Develop project scope with appropriate stakeholders.
- Secure project materials and resources by utilizing the site owner's procurement process.
- Perform field visits to coordinate material and labor resources and ensure work is safely progressing according to plan.
- Monitor and forecast project budget and schedule to ensure plans are on track.
- Identify and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Meet specific project KPI's as required.
- Engage with relevant project stakeholders including project reporting to management.
- Perform Continuous Improvement of the Project Management Process.
- 10+ years of owner's representative industrial project management experience;
- Post-secondary education in a relevant technical field;
- A PMP or CAPM designation is not required but is considered an asset;
- Maintenance, project, and/or operational experience at an operating facility or a heavy industrial site is considered an asset;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Efficient use of Microsoft 365 Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint);
- Direct experience in underground potash is considered an asset;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, problem solving, organizational skills, and detail oriented;
- Are you currently eligible to work in Canada? (For example: permanent resident, valid work permit, etc)
