Kitchen Helper Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at East Side Mario's. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in food preparation, including portioning, wrapping, and heating food items.
  • Keep accurate records of food quantities used.
  • Stock refrigerators, salad bars, and other storage areas with supplies.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitization of the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, and equipment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products safely.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
  • Sharpen kitchen knives and maintain kitchen equipment.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
Work Environment:

As a Kitchen Helper, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to stand for extended periods, work under pressure, and maintain a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout your shift.

Requirements:
  • Will train on the job.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
