KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the Canada Construction Specifier Territory aligned with the regional objectives.
  • Enhance order growth through contractor channels across Canada.
  • Achieve or surpass the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) consistently.
  • Collaborate closely with Vertical Market Sales Managers and other leaders to foster growth across various sectors through contractor channels.
  • Regularly meet order forecasts on a monthly and quarterly basis, segmented by vertical and business line.
  • Mentor and develop team members to promote sales excellence.
  • Provide accurate forecasts for annual, quarterly, and monthly orders by vertical and business line, along with a quarterly 'Walk to Plan' for the region.
  • Drive excellence in the Solution Sales process to achieve top-tier results.
  • Foster a high-energy, collaborative culture focused on team growth.
  • Engage in performance management to motivate continuous improvement.
  • Participate in significant Sales Calls with Account Executives.
  • Promote a culture of accountability and support the 'One Team' ethos.
  • Establish connections with local decision-makers.
  • Attend industry trade shows and conferences.
  • Embody the roles of 'Empire Builder', 'Problem Solver', and 'Employee Engagement' Leader.
  • Willingness to travel within the designated territory at least 30% of the time.
  • Guide account executives in:
    • Building strategic relationships with contractors, consultants, and architects, including standard terms and conditions, master purchasing agreements, and partnership agreements.
    • Establishing professional relationships with key client decision-makers.
    • Achieving 'Trusted Advisor' status with all major contractor, consultant, and architect accounts.
    • Maintaining CRM data quality according to Honeywell standards.
    • Ensuring a robust pipeline to meet vertical and business line AOP.
    • Collaborating with vertical sales teams on identified pursuits.
    • Sharing best practices with peers.
    • Focusing on high-impact activities.
    • Exhibiting professionalism in all business interactions.
    • Creating and executing effective territory and opportunity pursuit plans.
    • Thinking like an 'Empire Builder' and 'Problem Solver'.
YOU MUST HAVE
  • 3-5+ years of prior experience in sales management.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in quota-carrying sales roles.
WE VALUE
  • A diploma or BA/BS degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction ecosystem, including general contractors, mechanical contractors, electrical contractors, consulting engineers, and architects.
  • Strong understanding of Building Management Systems, Fire, Security, and Software.
  • Proficiency with relevant platforms.
  • Solid grasp of direct sales of integrated solutions.
  • Skills in outcome-based selling.
  • Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed Annual Operating Plans.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in C-Level selling.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential.
