About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team at Silver City Construction Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Budgeting: Develop and manage project budgets, including estimating costs and materials.
  • Staffing and Recruitment: Recruit, hire, and manage a team of construction workers, ensuring the right skills and expertise are in place to deliver projects on time and to budget.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate and schedule activities, including site preparation, construction, and completion.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors.
  • Work Scheduling: Establish methods to meet work schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
  • Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints and drawings, ensuring that construction work is carried out in accordance with the project plans.
  • Personnel Management: Recommend personnel actions, including promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Materials and Supplies: Requisition materials and supplies, ensuring that all necessary resources are available to complete projects on time.
  • Project Supervision: Supervise construction workers and projects, ensuring that all work is carried out to the required quality standards.
  • Training and Development: Train or arrange for training, ensuring that all employees have the necessary skills and expertise to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a construction or related field.
  • Security Clearance: Basic security clearance.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, organized, and a team player.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
