About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality rehabilitation services to children and youth within our diverse community. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, treat, and support individuals in achieving their functional goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and youth to identify their needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide direct therapy interventions using evidence-based practices to enhance motor skills, cognitive abilities, and daily living activities.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Educate clients, families, and community members about occupational therapy principles and strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of rehabilitation programs within various settings, including schools, homes, and outpatient clinics.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
  • Active registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM).
  • Eligibility for membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and email communication.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to cultural sensitivity and inclusivity.
