Job Summary

Southern Health-Santé Sud is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary regional rehabilitation team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating rehabilitation services for children and adult populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and develop rehabilitation plans for clients in various settings, including acute care, outpatient, long-term care, and community settings.
  • Provide direct intervention, consultation, and education to clients, families, and caregivers.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Supervise and train students and provisional members.
  • Participate in education and training programs for healthcare professionals.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree or equivalent entry-level requirement in Occupational Therapy.
  • Active registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM).
  • Eligible for membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and email.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) is essential.

Working Conditions

  • Must complete and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check.
  • Must be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with Southern Health-Santé Sud policy.
