Position Overview

Are you a meticulous and proactive individual with a talent for orchestrating events and a dedication to nurturing relationships within an educational environment? We invite you to consider the role of Alumni Engagement and Events Specialist.

In this position, you will report to the Marketing, Recruitment, and Communications Manager and be responsible for the comprehensive planning and execution of events for the Faculty of Business Administration. You will serve as the primary liaison for various student organizations and alumni, facilitating connections and fostering community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement an annual strategy for events
  • Coordinate and manage over 20 events annually
  • Engage with local businesses and faculty for community outreach initiatives
  • Arrange for speakers, panelists, and special guests for events
  • Provide on-site support during events
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and provide recommendations
  • Advise student organizations on event planning and assist as necessary
  • Act as a bridge between student groups
  • Build and maintain relationships with alumni from the Hill and Levene Schools of Business
  • Organize and promote alumni activities
  • Support recruitment efforts by attending events and conducting campus tours
  • Serve as the Faculty contact for donor relations and fundraising initiatives
  • Additional Responsibilities: Be prepared to undertake other related tasks as assigned, as this role is dynamic and vital to our success.

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in event management, hospitality, or communications
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
