Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to join our Student Success Services team at the First Nations University of Canada. As an Administrative Coordinator, you will provide administrative support to the Student Success Services and Elder Services Department, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary receptionist duties, including reception, tracking, and distribution of mail, ordering office supplies, and filing and photocopying.
  • Provide basic and initial assistance to students and guests, scheduling appointments or directing to the appropriate staff or department while maintaining student confidentiality.
  • Maintain and update Academic Advisor calendars with student appointments/meetings.
  • Maintain and track data using a variety of computer programs.
  • Prepare, record, and distribute meeting minutes, correspondence, and other documents.
  • Set up files for sponsored events, tours, and calendars.
  • Assist with updating the university's website for the Student Success Services as needed.
  • Create and complete purchase orders.
  • Maintain professionalism and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a High School Grade 12 Diploma and a minimum of one year of Office Education certification or equivalent education, and two years of related office experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Working Conditions

This is a casual position within the CUPE bargaining unit, and the successful candidate will be required to work in accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement.
