About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to join our team at JPB FabricationServices (2019) Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our machine shop and ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Planning: Estimate costs and materials for projects, and plan and coordinate activities to ensure timely completion.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train a team of 16-20 employees, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to succeed.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the setup and operation of machines and equipment, and ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Project Management: Coordinate and schedule activities to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Materials Management: Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: Experience in a machine shop or fabrication environment is an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a shop environment, with regular exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards.
