Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deli Manager to join our team at Fortinos. As a Deli Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of the deli department, providing customers with the best quality of deli, cheese, and pasta products, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise deli staff to ensure efficient and courteous customer service
  • Order deli/cheese and pasta products and supplies
  • Organize and set up the department, ensuring proper signage and displays
  • Process price changes and identify special items
  • Maximize sales and gross profit, meeting sales goals and budgets
  • Train new employees and schedule deli clerks to control wage costs
  • Ensure maintenance of equipment and safety and sanitation of the department
  • Respond to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints

Requirements:

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Minimum 2-5 years' deli experience in a retail grocery environment
  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including days, evenings, and weekends
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
