Position Overview:

The National Account Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Sales and will be pivotal in executing exceptional account management strategies. This role involves close collaboration with retail partners and various SharkNinja corporate teams, including sales planning, category analysis, supply chain, customer service, and finance, to achieve sales, profitability, distribution, and digital objectives. This position is both hands-on and leadership-oriented, encompassing complete responsibility for the retailer's profit and loss.

This role is hybrid, requiring a presence in the office three days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit exemplary account management practices, driving revenue growth and net margin improvements to surpass our targets.
  • Formulate and implement a strategic plan to secure business success, ensuring alignment with SharkNinja's best interests.
  • Maintain a comprehensive perspective while being adept at analyzing detailed data as necessary.
  • Oversee customer profitability, collaborating with internal teams to generate quotes for new products and manage promotional expenditures within ROI parameters.
  • Make critical decisions based on financial assessments of various scenarios to foster profitable growth, with a focus on understanding contribution margins.
  • Lead strategic customer meetings, leveraging internal resources to support objectives.
  • Maintain an execution-oriented mindset, recognizing key milestones and demonstrating the ability to adhere to schedules for successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Commercial and Category Analytics teams to analyze point-of-sale data, market trends, and factors influencing business performance.
  • Collect and relay competitive intelligence affecting the business landscape, including new product launches and promotional activities.
  • Guide and mentor direct reports, fostering their professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years in national account sales management or a related role, preferably with experience in large-scale retail environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Experience in high-performing teams; demonstrated leadership skills are essential.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% within Canada and the U.S.
  • Exceptional analytical skills to interpret extensive data sets and prepare management reports.
  • Capability to work collaboratively across functions and thrive under pressure.
