Position Overview:
The National Account Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Sales and will be pivotal in executing premier account management strategies. This role involves close collaboration with retail partners and various SharkNinja corporate teams, including sales planning, category analysis, supply chain, customer service, and finance, to achieve sales, profitability, distribution, and digital objectives. This position is a blend of hands-on account management and leadership, overseeing the complete retailer P&L.
The successful candidate will be part of the Canadian Sales Leadership Team, representing their assigned account and playing a vital role in influencing the overall organizational culture through initiatives such as functional training and succession planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit exceptional account management practices, driving revenue growth and net margin to surpass our objectives.
- Formulate and implement a strategic business plan that aligns with SharkNinja Canada’s interests and goals.
- Maintain a comprehensive view of business operations while being adept at managing intricate details.
- Oversee customer profitability, collaborating with internal teams to prepare quotes for new products and manage promotional expenditures within ROI parameters.
- Make critical decisions based on financial analyses of various scenarios to foster profitable growth, focusing on contribution margin dynamics.
- Lead strategic customer meetings, utilizing internal resources effectively.
- Prioritize execution, maintaining awareness of key milestones and demonstrating the ability to adhere to schedules for successful outcomes.
- Collaborate with Commercial and Category Analytics teams to analyze POS data, market trends, and business-impacting factors.
- Identify and communicate competitive influences affecting the business landscape.
- Guide and mentor direct reports, fostering their professional development.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in national account sales management or a related field, preferably with large-scale retailers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in high-performing teams, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% within Canada and the US.
- Proficient analytical and technical skills for data analysis and report generation.
- Adept at cross-functional collaboration and thriving under pressure.
