Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Department Manager to join our team at Supermarche Lipari. As a Department Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our grocery store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Direct and control daily operations, evaluate daily operations, plan and organize daily operations, and manage staff and assign duties.
  • Merchandise Management: Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes, and the effect of competitors' operations on sales. Determine merchandise and services to be sold, implement price and credits policies, and locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale.
  • Financial Management: Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses, and determine staffing requirements.
  • Customer Service: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers, conduct performance reviews, and supervise staff or team.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail or grocery store management role.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

The Department Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and will be required to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will have a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and will be able to work in a combination of sitting and standing.
