Position Overview:

The Warehouse Material Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Inventory Director, focusing on effective inventory management practices within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures diligently.
  • Execute various material receipt processes in accordance with established protocols.
  • Ensure received materials comply with purchase orders and necessary certifications.
  • Manage material issues and transfers across different operational sites.
  • Prepare items for dispatch, following specific packaging instructions when required.
  • Utilize appropriate platforms for booking courier shipments.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts.
  • Oversee inventory management in multiple satellite warehouses.
  • Ensure compliance with Dangerous and Controlled Goods certifications.
  • Follow shipping requirements for hazardous materials.
  • Keep an updated inventory of hazardous materials and explosives.
  • Hold a valid forklift operator permit.
  • Optimize warehouse space through strategic material storage.
  • Order necessary warehouse supplies to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Prepare Request for Quotes (RFQs) when needed.
  • Communicate effectively with local staff and logistics teams to address overdue orders.
  • Support safety programs and the Quality Management System.
  • Travel to various operational sites to assist with inventory management initiatives.
  • Participate in training courses to maintain qualifications.
  • Assist in training and instructing personnel as necessary.
  • Support the Supply Chain team with inventory-related tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in shipping/receiving and inventory management is preferred.
  • Background in military or commercial aviation logistics is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in French; English is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications; experience with AMS and SharePoint is beneficial.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and providing excellent customer service.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Exhibit a high level of professionalism and respect for colleagues.

Physical and Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Effective communication skills for telephone interactions.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Travel, including international travel, may be required.

Training Requirements:

  • Participation in Occupational Health and Safety program training.
  • Training on ERP systems.
  • Training in handling, storage, and shipping of dangerous goods.
  • MSDS training.
  • Forklift operator training.

Security Clearance:

This position requires level 2 Security Clearance with the Canadian Government and access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
