Position Overview:

The Material Coordinator will work under the guidance of the Inventory Director, focusing on inventory management and logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the receipt of materials in accordance with established protocols.
  • Ensure received materials meet purchase order specifications and certifications.
  • Manage material distribution and transfers to various operational locations.
  • Prepare items for dispatch, ensuring compliance with packaging requirements.
  • Coordinate courier shipments using designated platforms.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts.
  • Supervise inventory control across multiple satellite warehouses.
  • Ensure compliance with Dangerous and Controlled Goods certifications.
  • Adhere to shipping regulations for hazardous materials.
  • Maintain an updated inventory of hazardous materials and explosives.
  • Possess a valid forklift operator permit.
  • Optimize warehouse space through strategic material storage.
  • Order necessary warehouse supplies to maintain operations.
  • Facilitate communication with local teams and logistics to address overdue orders.
  • Support safety programs and the Quality Management System.
  • Travel to various operational sites to assist with inventory management.
  • Participate in training programs to maintain qualifications.
  • Assist in training new personnel as needed.
  • Support the Supply Chain team with inventory-related initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in shipping/receiving or inventory management.
  • Military or commercial aviation logistics experience is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in French; English is an asset.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with AMS or SharePoint is beneficial.
  • Ability to work under pressure while providing excellent customer service.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and respect for colleagues.
  • Commitment to corporate values of Safety, Teamwork, Focus, and Integrity.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Effective communication skills for telephone interactions.

Working Conditions:

  • Shifts may include days, nights, and weekends.
  • Travel is a requirement for this position.

Training Requirements:

  • Occupational Health and Safety program training.
  • ERP system training.
  • Training for handling and shipping dangerous goods.
  • MSDS training.
  • Forklift operator certification.

Security Clearance:

This position requires level 2 Security Clearance with the Canadian Government and access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
