Join Our Team as a Café Supervisor

At the core of Whistler Village, we are a dynamic coffee establishment dedicated to creating a positive impact on our customers, employees, and the community.

This bustling café offers an exciting opportunity to cultivate a strong team and foster a lively atmosphere.

Daily Operations:
  1. Overseeing café operations during shifts; demonstrating exceptional leadership to your team.
  2. Staff scheduling and labor management.
  3. Preparing and serving beverages and food, maintaining cleanliness, and leading by example.
  4. Fostering a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for both staff and patrons.
  5. Managing inventory and stock to ensure customer satisfaction.
Administrative Responsibilities:
  1. Financial oversight – achieving or surpassing budgetary goals.
  2. Community Involvement – Engaging in local events and building positive neighborhood relationships.
  3. Social Responsibility – Evaluating environmental and social impacts in decision-making.
  4. Effective Communication – Maintaining professional and respectful communication with team members, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Training will be provided; however, prior experience in some or all of these areas will be highly regarded.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  1. At least 2 years of experience in a managerial role within a similar environment.
  2. Barista training and experience – a passion for coffee, knowledge of roasting processes, and understanding of coffee origins.
  3. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  4. Familiarity with POS and inventory management software.
  5. Food Safety Certification Level 1 (or higher).
  6. Serve-it-Right Certification.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  2. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  3. Willingness to accept guidance from management.
  4. Confidence in delegating tasks and mentoring team members.
