Galaxyland Supervisor

The Galaxyland Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily functions of Galaxyland, which includes managing and training all Ride Operators and Cashiers while ensuring smooth park operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating the recruitment, supervision, training, and evaluation of staff while assigning daily responsibilities.
  • Addressing guest and staff inquiries regarding Galaxyland and its operational policies.
  • Updating safety and training manuals and performing quality assurance checks.
  • Authorizing refunds, voids, and complimentary passes as necessary.
  • Advising team members on safety protocols, daily armband colors, and tracking attendance through daily roll calls.
  • Assisting with opening and closing procedures to ensure the park is orderly, all guests have exited, and company assets are secured.
  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of services, schedules, rates, regulations, and policies related to West Edmonton Mall's Parks and Attractions.
  • Ensuring that Cashiers are well-informed about the latest updates regarding the parks and attractions.
  • Coordinating staff efforts and providing support to Operations Clerks, Cashiers, and Ride Operators.
  • Preparing the park for special events as needed.
  • Performing additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • One (1) to three (3) years of supervisory experience with an emphasis on customer service and training.
  • Emergency or Standard First Aid certification is preferred or willingness to undergo necessary training.
  • Ability to delegate tasks effectively and perform well under pressure.
  • A positive and enthusiastic approach to daily responsibilities, fostering frequent positive interactions with both staff and guests.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor, and confidence in leading a team.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while responding effectively under pressure.

Employment Terms:

  • This is a part-time role requiring availability from Monday to Sunday, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Candidates must successfully pass a basic security clearance.
