Galaxyland Supervisor

The Galaxyland Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily functions of Galaxyland, which includes managing and mentoring all Ride Operators and Cashiers while ensuring a comprehensive understanding of all operational facets of the park.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the recruitment, oversight, training, and evaluation of staff, while effectively delegating daily responsibilities.
  • Addressing guest and staff inquiries regarding Galaxyland and its operational policies.
  • Updating safety and training manuals and conducting thorough quality assurance assessments.
  • Authorizing refunds, voids, and complimentary passes as necessary.
  • Guiding staff on safety protocols, daily armband color codes, and tracking attendance through regular roll calls.
  • Providing operational support and executing opening and closing procedures to ensure the park is orderly and secure.
  • Maintaining an extensive knowledge of services, schedules, pricing, regulations, and policies related to West Edmonton Mall's Parks and Attractions.
  • Ensuring Cashiers are equipped with current information about West Edmonton Mall's offerings.
  • Coordinating staff efforts and offering assistance to Operations Clerks, Cashiers, and Ride Operators.
  • Preparing the park for special events as needed.
  • Performing additional duties as required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • One to three years of supervisory experience with an emphasis on customer service and training.
  • Preferred possession of an Emergency or Standard First Aid certificate, or willingness to undergo necessary training.
  • Ability to delegate tasks effectively and perform well under pressure.
  • A positive and enthusiastic approach to daily responsibilities, ensuring frequent positive interactions with both staff and guests.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor, and confidence in leadership roles.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of thriving in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while responding effectively to challenges.

Employment Terms:

  • This is a part-time role requiring availability throughout the week, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Candidates must successfully pass a basic security clearance.
