About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Fix Network. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, and regulations to internal stakeholders.
  • Promote and educate employees on company offerings, programs, and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements, including federal and provincial laws.
  • Handle employee complaints and incidents, including accidents, health and safety concerns, work refusals, investigations, and provide resolution.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and resolve conflicts among staff.
  • Coach managers and execute progressive disciplinary action processes in accordance with established procedures.
  • Execute effective exit interviews and provide recaps to HR managers.
  • Assist in ensuring job descriptions are current and assist in creating new ones for new roles.
  • Conduct employee onboarding and offboarding, and help organize equipment and training/orientation as required.
  • Attend recruitment fairs as requested, supporting field and/or corporate recruiting efforts.
  • Assist in developing and providing recommendations for policies and processes for corporate employees and/or corporate shops employees.
  • Provide coaching to managers on key workplace matters, such as performance management, difficult conversations, employee relations, and employee development.
  • Monitor employee compliance training, ensuring that all requirements are met.
  • Assist in planning and organizing employee events and recreational activities as required.
  • Respond to HR requests and provide general information and assistance over the phone, electronically in HR Help, and in person.
  • Assist HR leadership in creating, launching, and enhancing HR initiatives.
Requirements
  • University or College Diploma, preferably in Business specializing in Human Resources, or equivalent.
  • A CHRP designation or working towards is considered an asset.
  • 3 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist.
  • Bilingualism, French and English (written and spoken) is an asset.
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal and written.
  • Work experience or education in employment law or other area of regulations preferred.
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide beneficial recommendations to solve HR-related issues related to regulations, laws, and policies.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies.
  • Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.
  • Travel may be required in corporate offices and corporate shops.
