Position Overview

Role: Senior Billing Clerk

At Dynacare, we recognize that every moment is vital in the pursuit of health and wellness. As a Senior Billing Clerk, you will play a crucial role in the financial operations of our organization, ensuring that invoicing and collections are executed with precision and care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of client and patient invoices, ensuring compliance with contractual billing requirements.
  • Modify invoices and make necessary adjustments to accounts, preparing corrected invoices as needed.
  • Process payments, adjustments, and transfers efficiently.
  • Manage requisition entries for private accounts as required.
  • Generate comprehensive aging reports for outstanding accounts receivable.
  • Engage with physicians and clients regarding overdue accounts.
  • Implement established procedures for the collection of outstanding accounts.
  • Review and investigate unpaid claims, ensuring they are rebilled appropriately.
  • Recommend claims for write-off when necessary.
  • Handle cash transactions, including bank deposits and balance reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to delinquent or incomplete payments.
  • Analyze private accounts and prepare detailed reports on collection status for management review.
  • Maintain organized files for tracking client contracts and original invoices.
  • Oversee tracking systems for accounts payable invoices.
  • Assist in the allocation of cheques and posting of payments for financial reporting and monthly reconciliation.
  • Contribute to Dynacare's culture of learning by participating in the training and development of new team members.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to make informed decisions based on accurate information.
  • Proactive in suggesting improvements for efficiency in procedures.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • A minimum of a 2-year community college diploma in a related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in billing and finance.
  • Familiarity with AS400 and Great Plains is advantageous.
