Job Title: Machine Shop Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Shop Supervisor to join our team at All can Doors & Hardware Inc.

Job Summary:

The Machine Shop Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our machine shop, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes supervising a team of machine operators, ironworkers, sheet metal workers, and welders, as well as coordinating and scheduling activities, requisitioning materials and equipment, and ensuring health and safety regulations are followed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems
  • Prepare bids and production reports
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Supervise workers and projects
  • Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Set up machines and equipment
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-10 years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Organized and able to work under pressure
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
