We have developed a proprietary technology that involves the fabrication of polymer-based Capacitive Micromachined Ultrasound Transducers (polyCMUTs). These transducers have unique characteristics that enable the use of ultrasound in applications not previously possible.

We are an enthusiastic and interdisciplinary team of engineers and scientists who are passionate about impactful work. We are looking to expand our development team as we prepare for the next stage of growth.

About You:

We are seeking a motivated engineer and/or scientist who is excited about working with cutting-edge technology. You will be responsible for the fabrication, prototyping, development, and testing of capacitive ultrasound transducers for developing novel ultrasound systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Microfabrication
  • Lithography processes with photoresists (SU8, S1813, etc)
  • E-beam evaporation/sputtering of metals
  • Wet and Dry etching
  • Packaging (wafer dicing and wire bonding)
  • Prototyping and characterization
  • 3D modeling (Solidworks, Fusion 360 etc)
  • Soldering and assembly of PCBs
  • Electrical tests using impedance analyzers and vector network analyzers
  • Data analysis and signal processing using MATLAB or Octave

Qualifications:

  • BSEE is required, MS/PhD preferred
  • Experience with cleanroom-related processes and tools
  • Strong knowledge of microfabrication techniques, prototyping and characterization
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication skills

Nice to Haves:

  • Operating tools in machine shop
  • Knowledge in Capacitive Micromachined Ultrasound Transducers (CMUT)
  • Experience with instrumentations and equipment for acoustical characterization
  • Experience with LabView or Matlab Instrument Control
  • Experience in electrical simulation software
