Job Title: Graduate Process Improvement Engineer

At The Chemical Engineer, we are committed to fostering a work environment that values innovation, creativity, and collaboration. We are seeking a highly skilled Graduate Process Improvement Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and execution of complex process technology projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and oversee Process Technology Quality Plans for small to large size projects
  • Develop and oversee Process Activity Plans for small to large size projects
  • Execute Fluor's scope of work according to contract requirements
  • Interface with client representatives: project, planning, process and instrument engineers, operations and maintenance to align contract requirements and expectations
  • Lead a team of several engineers to develop drawings and specifications for study, feasibility, Front End Engineering Development (FEED)/Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction (EPFC) phase project definition and/or execution
Requirements:
  • An accredited four-year degree or global equivalent in engineering and a minimum eighteen years of work-related experience is required, as is a recognized Canadian Professional registration
  • Experience in the design and construction of mineral processing facilities for the recovery of copper, nickel, gold, or other base and precious metals
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English, with demonstrated competent report writing skills
  • Demonstrable ability to supervise junior and intermediate engineers
