Licensed Speech-Language Therapist

As a Speech-Language Pathologist at Monarch House LTD, you will play a crucial role in assessing and treating individuals with communication and swallowing challenges. This permanent position requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week and is conducted primarily in clients' homes across various locations.
Qualifications- Education: A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience is essential.
This role involves working directly in clients' residences, necessitating a valid driver's license for travel.
Key Responsibilities- Administer comprehensive speech-language assessments and evaluations.
- Diagnose and address disorders related to speech, voice, language, cognitive-linguistic skills, and swallowing.
- Guide and mentor technicians and students in the field.
- Oversee the work of technical and support personnel.
- Engage in research focused on communication disorders and the advancement of diagnostic methodologies.
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific communication challenges.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to establish both group and personalized care strategies.
- Recruit and train new staff members.
- Provide educational resources and support to patients and their families regarding communication and swallowing issues.
- Offer insights to families about the implications of hearing loss and available treatment options.
This position includes supervising 1 to 2 staff members.
Certifications and Licenses- Certification from the Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
- Licensure as mandated by provincial or territorial authorities.
