  • Client Education: Educate and counsel clients on how to prevent or manage their condition, recommending home care exercises and products as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma or certificate in massage therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid license to practice as a Licensed Massage Therapist in the province of Alberta, Canada.
  • Liability Insurance: Liability insurance that meets or exceeds the minimum standard.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Proficient in various massage techniques and modalities, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, prenatal, etc. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and kinesiology.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with clients and other healthcare providers, working independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional Conduct: Strong ethical and professional conduct, with an empathetic and client-centered approach.
