Position Overview

As a Speech-Language Pathologist at Monarch House LTD, you will play a vital role in assessing and treating individuals with communication and swallowing disorders. This is a permanent position that requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications
  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years in a relevant field
Work Environment

Your work will primarily take place in clients' homes across various locations, allowing for a flexible and dynamic work setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer speech-language assessments and evaluations
  • Diagnose and treat disorders related to speech, voice, language, and swallowing
  • Guide and mentor technicians and students in the field
  • Oversee support staff and technical personnel
  • Engage in research related to communication disorders and diagnostic methodologies
  • Design and implement tailored remedial programs for clients
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to create individualized care plans
  • Recruit and train new staff members
  • Provide educational resources and support to clients and their families
  • Inform clients about the implications of their conditions and treatment options
Supervisory Role

You will be responsible for supervising a small team of 1 to 2 individuals.

Certifications and Licenses
  • Certification from the Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists
  • Licensure from provincial or territorial authorities
Safety and Compliance

A valid driver's license is required, and a driver's validity license check will be conducted.
