Role Overview
The Event Coordination Assistant is responsible for delivering client service and administrative support within Meeting, Event & Conference Services (MECS). Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing meeting spaces for client use.
- Assisting clients with modifications and additional requests during their events.
- Creating room setup diagrams and managing the logistics of client materials.
- Welcoming clients on-site and providing essential campus orientation.
- Liaising with Facilities Services, IT Services, catering, security, and other service providers to ensure seamless event execution.
- Monitoring and resolving operational issues that arise during events.
- Offering primary support to Event Planners and Managers in the delivery of campus events.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- A high school diploma and relevant training in word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Outstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
