Quality Assurance Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

The QA Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring quality and service standards are upheld while contributing to the achievement of Bureau Veritas's corporate objectives. Collaborating closely with the QA Director and fellow team members, the Coordinator aids in reaching strategic goals and offers insights to enhance Bureau Veritas's policies and procedures. It is crucial to perform tasks meticulously, thoughtfully, and within established timelines to guarantee compliance with client and accreditation requirements. To accomplish this, the QA Coordinator is expected to:

  • Engage in the internal audit program Conduct audits, review and approve responses to identified discrepancies, and actively participate in innovations.
  • Oversee the proficiency testing (PT) program Manage the receipt of PT samples, compile and submit results to the provider, review PT reports, and coordinate responses to discrepancies.
  • Maintain quality management software Support software users, extract summaries for management, and manage documentation within the management system.
  • Develop and conduct training Facilitate individual and group training sessions, both in-person and remotely, ensuring practical and informative content.
  • Assist internal clients with quality practice inquiries Address questions and concerns through various communication methods.
  • Execute various administrative tasks Draft, proofread, and format procedures and reports, manage document distribution, schedule appointments, and compile data for internal and external reporting.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in sciences or a related field,
  • At least 2 years of laboratory experience,
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision,
  • Capacity to build trust with the management team quickly,
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in French, with intermediate English proficiency,
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively,
  • Analytical skills to contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement,
  • Comfort in presenting to groups,
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook,
  • Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation and Quebec environmental regulations is advantageous,
  • Internal auditor training is a plus.
