Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of services provided by external service providers in the areas of maintenance, waste management, and pest control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a quality inspection and verification program that meets the requirements and standards of major maintenance and service contracts.
  • Conduct quality checks on services provided, staff required, and equipment used by service providers; document and report any deficiencies found in relation to contractual requirements or new service requests, and take necessary actions to correct the situation.
  • Recommend, validate, and administer budgets and project timelines for service providers under their responsibility, monitor progress, explain discrepancies, and identify future needs.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements in collaboration with service providers under their responsibility, develop and maintain up-to-date plans, documents, and tracking tools for quality controls.
  • Plan, coordinate, and ensure the execution of non-contractual work by service providers under their responsibility to meet schedules, standards, and cost requirements.
  • Develop performance indicators and tools to track and improve the program.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill management's environmental obligations.
  • Conduct various analyses, reports, and statistics, and submit recommendations for changes to contract execution practices and contract content.
  • Participate in the preparation of new service contracts and contract renewals, and submit recommendations.
  • Develop and disseminate procedures for sanitary practices and act as a technical advisor to stakeholders as needed.
  • Respond to complaints by conducting research and validation, submitting recommendations, and ensuring follow-up with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate tasks with internal and external stakeholders for work related to their section, taking into account budgets and timelines allocated.
  • Organize coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders involved.
  • Perform any other related tasks.
Requirements
  • Hold a college diploma in a relevant field or a recognized certification in industrial engineering, environment, or occupational health and safety, combined with administrative training.
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in the field of sanitation and contract performance verification for large-scale building maintenance contracts.
  • Have a good knowledge of the National Building Code, the Quebec Building Code, and occupational health and safety practices.
  • Have excellent knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards.
  • Be able to read and interpret plans and drawings.
  • Have knowledge of the principles of using various lifting equipment (an asset).
  • Hold a valid driver's license for the province of Quebec (class 5).
  • Have a good command of French (spoken and written) and functional English (spoken and written).
  • Have a good command of Microsoft Office 2003, including Word and Excel.
  • The knowledge of the SAP software is an asset.
  • Pass the background check for access to restricted areas.
  • Pass the test for obtaining a vehicle permit for airside access within 60 days of taking the position.
  • Be able to establish good communication and interpersonal relationships in a multidisciplinary environment and customer service context.
  • Have a high level of organizational, coordination, and follow-up skills.
  • Have a good analytical mind and a good method of planning and prioritizing.
  • Be proactive, autonomous in their actions, and demonstrate good judgment.
  • Have tact, diplomacy, rigor, and a strong attention to detail.
  • Be available to work outside regular working hours and travel to Montréal-Trudeau and Montréal-Mirabel sites.
