Quality Control Director

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Supervisor is a key member of the Groupe PARIMA team, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality management in the QC Chemistry laboratory. This role requires a strong understanding of regulations and safety programs, as well as excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage daily activities of the Quality Control team to ensure efficient operations.
  • Coordinate raw material release internally and externally, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Support internal and outsourced cGMP release and stability programs, providing technical expertise and troubleshooting support.
  • Lead and coach a team of QC Analysts, performing mid-year and end of year evaluations.
  • Assure the technical and safety trainings are kept updated, and support internal, client, and regulatory agency audits as needed.
  • Serve as the point person for all internal and external Quality Control data for commercial products.
  • Ensure that instruments and equipment are kept in a qualified and calibrated state, reviewing periodical SOP revisions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science (Chemistry, Biochemistry, pharmaceutical field) or related field from a Canadian University, or an equivalent scientific diploma recognized by a Canadian University or an accredited Canadian organism.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality Control in the pharmaceutical industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a management/supervisory position.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Canadian, US, and European regulations.
  • Experience with cGMP and ICH regulations and guidelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Bilingual (French and English).
