Join our project team at the heart of our client's operations and participate in the partnership that has existed between Stantec and the STM for over 20 years.

Join Stantec as a Quality Control Coordinator to verify the deliverables in terms of quality of contractors on your assigned project section.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Ensure the application of the contractor quality control program;
  2. Organize or participate in quality meetings with stakeholders (construction, engineering, architecture, etc.);
  3. Ensure compliance with work through punctual inspections and audits around quality control requirements;
  4. Review quality documents as specified, follow up, and monitor the application of requirements;
  5. Ensure presence on the construction site to testify to the compliance of the work;
  6. Ensure that deviations from specified requirements are properly identified and that non-conformity reports, deficiencies, and other non-compliance exceptions are recorded and closed within reasonable deadlines;
  7. Prepare the monthly QC report for your sector;
  8. Ensure progressive compliance of documentation according to project requirements;
  9. Support your quality team for effective monitoring of quality control activities.

Your Background

  1. DEC or Bachelor's degree in construction engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering and related fields;
  2. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including several years in quality verification in construction;
  3. Fluency in written and spoken French.

Your Keys to Success

  1. Experience on large-scale infrastructure projects (100M$);
  2. Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec;
  3. Knowledge of ISO 9001 application;
  4. Proven knowledge of construction codes and main technical standards (BNQ, CSA W-59 & S6);
  5. Good understanding of reading plans and estimates;
  6. Meticulous, attention to detail.
