We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our team at Dakota Medical Corporation. As a Medical Secretary, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Interaction: Interview patients to obtain comprehensive case histories, ensuring accurate and detailed information is recorded.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring seamless communication with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete insurance and other claim forms, order supplies, and maintain inventory to ensure efficient office operations.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Enter and format electronically based medical reports and correspondence, preparing spreadsheets and documents for review.
  • Confidentiality and Record-Keeping: Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records, adhering to strict confidentiality protocols.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English or French is required, with Afrikaans being an asset.
  • Work Setting: The ideal candidate will have experience working in a clinic or hospital/medical facility setting.
  • Supervision: The Medical Secretary will work under the supervision of 1 to 2 people.
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Proficiency in MS Word, electronic mail, MS Excel, and MS Windows is required.
