Position Overview
As a dedicated and skilled Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. Your expertise will contribute to a compassionate and professional environment at Shannex Incorporated.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and mentor physiotherapy and occupational therapy assistants, ensuring effective work assignments and performance evaluations.
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients experiencing mobility challenges, pain management issues, and other physiotherapy-related concerns.
- Develop tailored treatment plans based on clinical evaluations and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Administer treatment utilizing various physiotherapy modalities, ensuring the highest standards of care.
- Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary in consultation with nursing staff and physicians.
- Educate clients on the proper use of mobility aids and assistive devices.
- Maintain and manage an inventory of physiotherapy equipment and supplies.
- Prepare detailed reports on client progress and treatment outcomes, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Provide training to staff on safe handling techniques and relevant health topics.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational procedures to safeguard client well-being.
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Physiotherapy.
- Current registration with the provincial College of Physiotherapists.
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience, preferably in rehabilitation and geriatrics.
- Experience in a supervisory role is advantageous.
- Background in long-term care settings is preferred.
- A strong commitment to improving healthcare services for seniors.
