Position Overview

As a dedicated and skilled Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. Your expertise will contribute to a compassionate and professional environment at Shannex Incorporated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and mentor physiotherapy and occupational therapy assistants, ensuring effective work assignments and performance evaluations.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients experiencing mobility challenges, pain management issues, and other physiotherapy-related concerns.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans based on clinical evaluations and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Administer treatment utilizing various physiotherapy modalities, ensuring the highest standards of care.
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary in consultation with nursing staff and physicians.
  • Educate clients on the proper use of mobility aids and assistive devices.
  • Maintain and manage an inventory of physiotherapy equipment and supplies.
  • Prepare detailed reports on client progress and treatment outcomes, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Provide training to staff on safe handling techniques and relevant health topics.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational procedures to safeguard client well-being.

Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Physiotherapy.
  • Current registration with the provincial College of Physiotherapists.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience, preferably in rehabilitation and geriatrics.
  • Experience in a supervisory role is advantageous.
  • Background in long-term care settings is preferred.
  • A strong commitment to improving healthcare services for seniors.
