About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor physiotherapy assistants, ensuring effective work assignments and performance evaluations.
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients experiencing mobility issues, pain, and other physiotherapy-related concerns.
- Develop tailored treatment plans based on clinical evaluations and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Administer treatment using various physiotherapy modalities and techniques.
- Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary and communicating effectively with nursing staff and physicians.
- Provide guidance to clients on the proper use of mobility aids and assistive devices.
- Maintain an organized inventory of physiotherapy equipment and supplies.
- Prepare necessary documentation, including progress reports and treatment records.
- Educate staff on safe lifting techniques and other relevant topics.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures to maintain a secure environment for clients.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master of Science in Physiotherapy.
- Current registration with the provincial College of Physiotherapists.
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience, preferably in rehabilitation and geriatrics.
- Previous supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
- A strong commitment to enhancing the quality of care for seniors.
