In the role of Consulting Manager, you will be responsible for fostering and sustaining relationships with designated clients. You will oversee the daily operations of a consulting delivery practice, ensuring the development of necessary resources to achieve the business goals of multiple concurrent projects. Your success will stem from effective planning, implementation, and maintenance of strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establishes and supervises team objectives, including the acquisition and development of resources to achieve these goals.
  2. Communicates clear expectations regarding responsibilities, accountabilities, and career progression to staff through effective management of work assignments, training, and performance evaluations.
  3. Ensures adherence to established policies and procedures, including skills inventory, methodologies, quality assurance, and time tracking.
  4. Develops and executes business plans tailored to the consulting practice.
  5. Provides accurate revenue forecasts on a regular basis, monitoring financial performance to meet or exceed targets.
  6. Delivers multiple high-quality consulting projects, ensuring client satisfaction and effectively managing client expectations and issues.
  7. Exhibits leadership in service delivery as perceived by clients.
  8. Maintains strong customer relationships at the delivery level, proactively resolving issues during engagements and promoting the value of services throughout the engagement cycle.
  9. Represents Services Delivery in Client Steering Committee meetings.
  10. Manages consulting agreements, ensuring that consultants adhere to timelines and budget constraints.
  11. Accountable for the financial performance of the client portfolio, including project revenue, profit, and recovery, with regular status reporting.
  12. Responsible for maintaining accurate and timely forecasts for assigned clients.
  13. Identifies opportunities for organic growth within accounts and collaborates with the business enablement team.
  14. Works closely with Sales and Pre-sales teams to ensure customer requirements are met through precise estimating and planning.
  15. Collaborates with the Resource Manager to optimize resource utilization across projects and assist in the development of partner resources.
  16. Engages with Alliances to identify partner delivery opportunities and monitor performance for improvements.
  17. Participates actively in planning and review meetings with the Director of Consulting Services.
  18. Contributes to the development and implementation of training and mentoring programs for staff, providing regular performance feedback.
Qualifications
  1. 8 years of senior consulting management experience, particularly with mid to large-scale concurrent projects.
  2. Proven mentoring capabilities at both consultant and project manager levels.
  3. Experience in the retail sector is a significant advantage.
  4. Strong team-building, organizational, and planning skills.
  5. Excellent customer relationship management and communication skills, bridging technology and business.
  6. Ability to effectively convey consulting value propositions to clients at all levels.
  7. University degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience.
  8. Strong negotiation and facilitation skills across various corporate functions.
  9. Familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
  10. Persuasive communication skills to drive internal change effectively.
  11. Bilingual proficiency in English and French is required.
