Job Title: Hotel Front Office Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Hotel Front Office Clerk to join our team at Ontario Inc.

Job Summary:

The Hotel Front Office Clerk will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests, handling room reservations, and maintaining accurate records. This is a temporary position with a variable schedule, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and resolve guest complaints and claims in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and process group arrivals and departures.
  • Take, cancel, and change room reservations, as well as provide information on hotel facilities and services.
  • Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments.
  • Maintain accurate records, including inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering telephone calls and relaying messages, and assisting clients/guests with special needs.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with attention to detail and a high level of reliability.
Working Conditions:
  • Standing for extended periods, with occasional overtime required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with excellent client focus and dependability.
Language:

English is the primary language of communication in this role.
