Unit Overview

The Research Planning & Analysis team is dedicated to delivering operational and financial insights through the provision of timely and precise information, presented in user-friendly formats to facilitate decision-making. Our team offers organizational expertise in the analysis, interpretation, and integration of financial and clinical research data, promoting sustainable growth and efficiency across the Research Enterprise at HHS.

Position Overview

The Senior Advisor for Research Planning & Analysis will collaborate closely with the Research Vice President, Research Administrative Directors, their management teams, and the Project Director/Manager (PD/PM) and Investigator (PI) of research studies. The goal is to ensure effective financial management, control, and strategic planning while adhering to the corporate policies and procedures of HHS.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, standard work hours.

Qualifications

The Senior Advisor role necessitates the following qualifications:

  1. Education: At least one of the following:
    • Professional designation (e.g., CPA, CFA) – enrollment or completion of
    • Applicable post-graduate degree (e.g., MBA, Masters of Finance) – enrollment or completion of
    • OR equivalent experience
  2. Work Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  3. Specialized Skills: Over 5 years of experience in each of the following areas:
    • Financial modeling
    • Financial graphical representation and visualization
    • Financial and Operating Systems
  4. Soft Skills: More than 5 years of experience in each of the following:
    • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
    • Communication Skills – both formal (e.g., presentations, board reports, executive summaries) and informal
    • Interpersonal Skills
    • Collaboration and Teamwork
    • Informal leadership, coaching, and mentorship

As a condition of employment, proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required.
