Senior Financial Advisor

The Senior Financial Advisor at Hamilton Health Sciences will collaborate closely with the Research Vice President, Administrative Directors, and their management teams, as well as with Project Directors/Managers and Principal Investigators, to ensure effective financial oversight, strategic planning, and adherence to corporate policies and procedures.

Key Qualifications

The Senior Financial Advisor position necessitates the following qualifications:

  1. Educational Background – at least one of the following:
    1. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) – either in progress or completed
    2. Relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., MBA, Master’s in Finance) – either in progress or completed
    3. OR equivalent experience in a related field
  2. Professional Experience – a minimum of 5 years in a relevant financial role
  3. Specialized Competencies – over 5 years of experience in each of the following areas:
    • Financial modeling techniques
    • Financial data visualization and graphical representation
    • Operational and Financial Systems
  4. Interpersonal Skills – over 5 years of experience in each of the following:
    • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
    • Effective communication skills – both formal (e.g., presentations, board reports) and informal
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Collaboration and teamwork
    • Informal leadership and mentoring abilities
As a prerequisite for employment, candidates must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to Employee Health Services.
