Unit Overview
The Financial Services division aims to establish itself as a reliable, customer-centric team dedicated to maintaining financial integrity while fostering innovation and transformation. With a robust team of approximately 40 financial experts supporting a large organization, Financial Services is committed to promoting governance, delivering actionable insights, and ensuring excellence in service for both patients and stakeholders. As part of the Digital Health Plan, which is one of the four key strategies in the HHS strategic framework, the Financial Services team is focused on leveraging technological advancements to enhance and innovate service delivery.
Position Overview
The Senior Advisor will play a pivotal role in informing, guiding, and providing strategic recommendations. This position encompasses a broad scope with organization-wide integration and impact.
Key Stakeholders
The Senior Advisor will collaborate with VPs, Directors, Managers, and Clinical Leaders within the assigned program, as well as peers in Financial Services and FP&A teams.
Responsibilities
The Senior Advisor will be tasked with:
- Managing planning, budgeting, and forecasting for their designated portfolio.
- Conducting monthly reviews of revenue and other recurring reports, including financial and productivity trends for key stakeholders.
- Designing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and managing outcomes with program leadership.
- Leading strategic initiatives aimed at increasing demand and driving cost efficiencies, such as optimizing pricing strategies and standard costing.
- Performing ad-hoc analyses to support critical operational decisions within the program.
- Overseeing and enhancing workflows and processes by identifying inefficiencies and potential risk areas.
- Collaborating with program leadership to develop a comprehensive multi-year business plan.
Ideal Candidate Attributes
The successful candidate will possess:
- A strong background in Financial Analysis, FP&A, and financial modeling.
- Experience in business development and analysis of business plans.
- Exceptional judgment and problem-solving abilities to propose solutions for financial and operational challenges.
- Understanding of data structures, analytics, and reporting tools such as PowerPivot and Tableau.
- The ability to navigate and collaborate effectively with various key stakeholders, including program leadership and strategic partners.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information to program leadership.
Work Schedule
Standard work hours are Monday to Friday during the day.
Qualifications
The Senior Advisor role requires:
- Education: A professional designation (e.g., CPA, CFA) or an applicable post-graduate degree (e.g., MBA, Masters of Finance), or equivalent work experience.
- Work Experience: A minimum of 5 years in areas such as financial reporting, treasury and cash management, capital planning, investment portfolio management, or financial planning and analysis.
- Specialized Skills: Over 5 years of experience in financial modeling, graphical representation of financial data, and operating systems.
- Soft Skills: Over 5 years of experience in analytical and problem-solving skills, formal and informal communication, interpersonal skills, teamwork, and informal leadership.
As a condition of employment, proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required.
