Medical Laboratory Technologist II

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist II to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our laboratory department, you will be responsible for performing routine laboratory procedures and providing technical support to ensure the highest quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine laboratory procedures, including blood testing, urinalysis, and other diagnostic tests
- Rotate through various laboratory disciplines, including chemistry, hematology, transfusion medicine, microbiology, and anatomical pathology
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely test results
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to maintain laboratory standards
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with laboratory staff, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology program
- Eligibility for certification from the Canadian Society of Laboratory Technologists
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
