Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality laboratory services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine laboratory procedures, including testing and analysis of patient samples.
  • Rotate through various disciplines, including Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine, Microbiology, and Anatomical Pathology.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely test results.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with technological developments in the field and apply this knowledge to improve laboratory services.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology program.
  • Eligibility for certification from the Canadian Society of Laboratory Technologists.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
