Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist II to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our Laboratory department, you will be responsible for performing routine lab procedures and rotating through various disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine lab procedures and rotate through various disciplines (Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine, Microbiology, and Anatomical Pathology)
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care
  • Develop and maintain effective work relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with technological developments in the field and apply new knowledge to improve lab procedures
  • Meet physical demands of the position and maintain a safe working environment

Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Laboratory technology program
  • Eligible for certification from the Canadian Society of Laboratory Technologists
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
