Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and registered Radiology Technologist to join our Medical Imaging department at Northern Health Authority. As a Medical Imaging Technologist II, you will be responsible for organizing and performing x-ray examinations, ensuring consistent quality of radiographs, and performing related patient preparation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the general supervision of the Chief Technologist, perform x-ray examinations and ensure consistent quality of radiographs.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, including positioning and draping.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including x-ray machines and related accessories.
  • Develop and process radiographs, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved radiology technology program and registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiological Technologists.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and physicians.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting patients as needed.
