Bakery Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Baker to join our team at Port Union Bakery. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities- Product Preparation: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Production Scheduling: Draw up production schedules to ensure efficient use of resources and meet customer demand.
- Machinery Operation: Operate machinery to prepare and package products.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that all products are available for sale.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Setting: Bake shop, large volume bakery, or café.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
