Key Responsibilities:
  • Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas
  • Develop specific plans to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient use of time
  • Disinfect pens, barns, or poultry houses to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Groom horses in preparation for competitions and shows, paying attention to detail and ensuring their overall health and well-being
  • Handle animals with care and respect, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
  • Organize tasks to accomplish the work, prioritizing and delegating responsibilities as needed
  • Perform animal grooming activities, including feeding, tending, and caring for the horses
  • Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Train horses to develop their skills and abilities, working closely with the farm's experienced trainers
  • Clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens, maintaining a clean and organized environment
  • Maintain work records and logs, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement
  • Perform general farm duties, including setting and monitoring water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized and efficient, with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Physically demanding, with the ability to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to distinguish between colors, with good hand-eye coordination and sound discrimination
  • Standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling
