Job Title: Registered Occupational Therapist

Georgian College is seeking a Registered Occupational Therapist to work as an Independent Contractor. The successful candidate will provide occupational therapy services in a clinical setting, working with patients and students in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans, working with Occupational Therapist Assistants and students.
  • Conduct assessments, formulate goals, and provide guidance to students in the development of OTA competencies.
  • Act as primary care provider for patient care, providing occupational therapy services as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, adhering to COTO standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams, students, and clients to ensure effective and harmonious relationships.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Recent clinical experience in a health setting, preferably with a geriatric or pediatric population.
  • Teaching and Training Adults certification and/or experience in a teaching or training capacity.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.
