Building and maintaining robust relationships with clients and third-party vendors is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance and sustain market share within the designated territory.
- Aim to boost net profits across all product categories.
- Coordinate and promote products and services through direct sales to end-users.
- Compile lists of potential customers for sales leads, utilizing business directories, industry advertisements, trade shows, online resources, and prior experience.
- Exhibit superior communication skills, with a commitment to being responsive and timely to customer inquiries and expectations.
- Travel throughout the assigned territory to engage with existing and prospective customers, soliciting orders and conducting discussions in person or via phone, including cold-calling.
- Demonstrate products using samples or catalogs, highlighting features and benefits across the entire product range.
- Oversee the complete sales process, including quotations, presentations, customer setup initiation, and preparation of sales contracts and order documentation for successful projects, while coordinating with other departments as necessary.
- Generate reports for the Sales Management team, including forecasts, call reports, and expense reports, dedicating part of each day to communication.
- Input new customer information and update sales data for existing customers as required.
- Develop and nurture relationships with purchasing contacts.
- Travel as needed to effectively execute job responsibilities and secure orders.
- Conduct product demonstrations for potential clients.
- Achieve annual targets established by the company.
- Operate within budgeted expense limits.
- Advocate for the company's operational visions, values, and objectives.
- Participate in training and team activities to support ongoing improvement efforts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager or their designate.
- Adaptations to responsibilities may be made as necessary.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficient selling techniques.
- Highly driven and motivated.
- Over 5 years of experience selling industrial goods or related products.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and related software.
- Understanding of the target audience within the assigned territory.
- Ability to adapt and maintain performance in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Skill in effectively managing conflict and fostering positive team and inter-departmental relations.
Work Environment:
- Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Willingness to work independently, with flexible hours as required.
