About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at Stuart Olson, a leading provider of industrial maintenance services. As a Millwright, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, and steam turbines.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
  • Operate rigging equipment and dollies to move heavy machinery and parts.
  • Assemble, install, and repair machinery, including bearings, gears, and shafts.
  • Align and test equipment to ensure proper function.
  • Perform predictive and operational maintenance procedures to prevent equipment failures.
  • Repair and replace defective parts, and maintain an inventory of replacement parts.
  • Prepare layouts and plans for maintenance activities, including material selection and sequencing.
  • Ensure work areas are clean and free of hazards.
  • Report incidents, near misses, and damages/non-damages, and participate in the preparation of safe work practices/procedures.
Requirements
  • Journeyman Millwright ticket.
  • Energy Safety Canada certifications, including H2S Awareness, CSO Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, and Monitor Elevated Work Platform.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol testing.
Working Conditions
  • Working at heights.
  • Working in confined spaces.
  • Working in and around noise and dust.
  • Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions.
  • Must be clean-shaven.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50lbs with assistance.
  • Stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, or manipulate objects.
  • Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
