Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives to foster a robust safety culture across all levels of the organization, including contractors and service providers.
  • Develop comprehensive work packages that encompass all necessary resources, including maintenance service providers.
  • Input and manage data within the scheduling system to facilitate accurate reporting.
  • Oversee cost control measures for work orders, ensuring financial accountability.
  • Assist in the identification and planning of routine maintenance and turnaround work orders.
  • Act as the primary contact for specific areas during turnaround execution.
  • Ensure effective communication and reporting between shifts.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of planning and scheduling protocols.
  • Create standard job procedures and job plans to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support the implementation of maintenance management systems.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Operations, Projects, Engineering, and Maintenance, to build strong interdepartmental relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a relevant technical diploma (e.g., Journeyman Pipefitter or Millwright).
  • A minimum of five years of experience in maintenance, with at least two years in a planning capacity.
  • Project management certification or training in planning and scheduling is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance management processes, including planning, scheduling, cost estimation, and change management.
  • Ability to interpret piping and instrument diagrams.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, particularly Maximo, is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Experience with scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera (P6) is a plus.
  • A proactive work ethic and the ability to operate independently are essential.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada is required.

Work Environment:

This position is based in a camp environment, operating on a rotational schedule. The role requires adaptability and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and operational excellence.
