As a ticketed Journeyperson Millwright you will join a long-term maintenance team at a client site in the Conklin Alberta area that will provide you stable employment, work life balance, earn a decent income and have a steady income.

Responsibilities

Multi-Stage pumps repair, reciprocating pump repair, gear box repair, steam turbine experience would all be considered an asset. All general maintenance duties on our industrial construction project. Read diagrams and schematic drawings, blue-prints, and service manuals to determine work procedures. Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts. Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances. Align and test equipment and make any necessary adjustments. Perform predictive and operational procedures. Repair and/or replace defective parts. Service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Maintain an inventory of replacement parts. Prepare layout including material selection, sequence planning and methods of work. Ensure work areas are kept clean and free of hazards. Ability to machine small parts with precision Report all incidents, “near miss” incidents including damages/non-damage, injury/non-injury incidents. Review and participate in the preparation of safe work practices/procedures as required. Ability to use lathe and milling machine proficiently.

Journeyman Millwright ticket Energy Safety Canada: H2S Awareness CSO Fall Protection Confined Space Entry Monitor Elevated Work Platform Valid driver’s license Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol testing

Working Conditions

Working at heights Working in a confined space Working in and around noise and dust Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions Must be clean shaven Personal safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots,

Physical Requirements

Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 lbs. with assistance Stand or walk for long periods of time Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects
